Spring workshops with Denise Allen 2012 The following workshops will take place at Bramfield village hall, Bury Lane, Bramfield, Hertfordshire, SG14 2QL. You will need to bring your own paint, brushes, palette, water pot and painting surface for relevant to each workshop. If you are unsure please do not hesitate to ask. These workshops include a light lunch. Please let me know if you have any special requirements. Tea and coffee available. Booking is essential for these workshops, and a £10 deposit will secure your place.
Monday 30th January 2012 – Collage and Texture in Acrylic £38 10am to 4pm Tricks and techniques, surfaces and applications. We will be looking at painting on non conventional surfaces and adding texure and collage to paintings.
Wednesday 22nd February 2012 - Experimental Watercolour £38 10am to 4pm This is going to be messy! We will play with runs drips and ours, palette knives
Thursday 22nd March 2012 – Acrylic deconstruction. £38 10am to 4pm. We will start with a still life in acrylic on paper, and will then deconstruct this (tear it up) to create an exciting landscape.
Monday 30th April 2012 – Big brush Acrylics 10am to 4pm Using big brushes and big paper or canvas( as big as you wish to provide), we will look at simplifying a subject to paint it simply and effectively.
The following workshops will take place in my studio, at 11 Holly Grove Road, Bramfield, Herts, SG14 2QH. Wednesday 4th April 2012 – Beginners watercolour. £38 10am to 4pm including a light lunch. If you have never tried, or have never been shown the basics, this class will get you started in the wonderful world of watercolours. Please get in touch if you are unsure or worried about getting started, or what equipment you will need. This is a small group class so you will get plenty of attention.
Thursdays 10am to 12pm – Any subject any media. £9 per session. Bring along paintings in any subject, oil, acrylic or watercolour, and I will help you progress. If you are stuck, or just need the company to be inspired and flourish, this is the session for you. Only pay for the sessions you attend. Thursday January 19th/26th February 2nd/9th/16th/22rd March 1st/8th/15th/29th
