Art classes.

We start the spring term on Tuesday January 8^th 2008.

Classes are held on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 12 in Bramfield Village Hall.

The cost will be £8 per session. You are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as you can, only paying for the weeks you attend.  You need to bring your own equipment; paper, paint, brushes, water pot, palette and rag. There is no need to book.

Tuesday classes will be as follows;

Tuesday 8^th April

Skies – back to basics or as elaborate as you wish. Working as a group or from photos we will create some stunning skies.

Tuesday 15^th April

Wall surfaces. Detail is often neglected, and we will look at wall surfaces, painting bricks, stones, dry stone walling. Very interesting.

Tuesday 22^nd April

Children on the beach. Working together we will create a sweet little picture.

Tuesday 29^th April

Tricks. There are many tricks in watercolour. We will look at a few.

Tuesday 6^th May

The edge of the field. We will work together to create a painting of the daisies along the edge of the field in late summer.

Tuesday 13^th May, 20^th May, 27^th May, 3^rd June

No class.. Art Menorca and family holiday.

Tuesday 10^th June

Hats. A straw hat reminds us of  a summer holiday, and happy memories.

Tuesday 17^th June

Loose bottles and glasses. A fun way of looking at these interesting objects.

Tuesday 24^th June

Trees. So necessary for a convincing landscape.

Tuesday 1^st July

Fabric. We will look at the texture of fabric, and how to paint folds and sheen.

Tuesday 8^th July

Summer Landscape.

Tuesday 15^th July

Colour mixing. This is a really worthwhile session to understand some of the ways to create and use colours.

Tuesday 22^nd July

Animals. Working from photos we will paint a variety of animals, from sheep to elephants.
