This video showcases the final detailing process of a seascape painting. The artist, Denise Allen, originally painted the scene during a two-hour demonstration at an art club, but due to time constraints, she couldn’t add all the intricate details. In this video, she revisits the piece in her studio, carefully refining elements like wave movement, foam textures, and colour depth.

She uses a variety of acrylic paints, including ultramarine blue, umber, phthalo turquoise, and yellow ochre, to enhance the sea’s vibrancy. The painting process involves "unpainting"—removing certain details to adjust composition—before building layers of contrast to create realistic water reflections.

Denise also discusses techniques for capturing wave motion, adding frothy textures, and adjusting highlights and shadows to give the piece depth. She works patiently, holding her brush loosely to maintain a natural flow, gradually refining ripples and foam.
